The mission of the Urologic Research Institute is to improve the quality of public health through various research, prevention and outreach strategies that result in the effective prevention, diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer and other urologic disorders. 

The Institute strives to place an emphasis on underserved populations in both rural and urban communities.
